About six months ago I needed to change the pads on my EcoBoost and thought I’d save a few bucks by going to this random garage near my place that offered a good deal. Fast forward to last week and I’m hearing this horrible grinding noise from the rear, take the wheel off and find one of the pads has actually delaminated and scored the rotor pretty badly. The material had just crumbled away. So now I’m looking at new rotors as well which totally defeats the purpose of trying to save money. Spoke to a friend who knows his way around cars and he said on heavier cars like Mustangs you really can’t cheap out on brake components, especially in this heat. He actually sent me a link to a Mustang brake pad repair workshop Dubai that apparently uses better quality parts and knows how to install them properly. Going to take it there next week and get the whole job done right this time. Just wish I’d done that in the first place instead of learning the hard way.</span>
