I’ve been watching my guys in Ajman work themselves to the bone every day and I’m starting to feel pretty guilty about it because I know a lot of the physical strain they’re dealing with comes down to how our operation is set up, not just the volume of work we’re handling. They’re constantly lifting heavy boxes multiple times, walking back and forth across the warehouse for every single order, and doing so many repetitive manual steps that I can see the fatigue setting in by midday. I’ve been looking for useful advice for reducing manual tasks at work because I want to keep my team safe and actually have them stick around long-term, not burn out after a year because the job is physically destroying them. I read about how some businesses are using simple equipment like conveyors or lift assists to take the strain off their workers, and it got me thinking that maybe I’ve been looking at this all wrong instead of focusing on speed and efficiency, maybe I should be focusing on making the work less punishing. The thing is I don’t have a huge budget to throw at this and I’m not sure which investments actually make a meaningful difference versus just being fancy gadgets that sound good on paper. Has anyone here added equipment specifically to reduce physical strain on their team, and what ended up being the best bang for your buck?
