Eyelash extensions feeling itchy after a week? Normal or not?

Hey lash community! I need some advice. I got a fresh set of classic extensions about 8 days ago, and lately my eyelids feel a bit itchy, especially near the inner corners. I wash my face every night, but I usually avoid the eye area completely just to be safe. Could this be the start of an allergic reaction, or am I just not cleaning them properly?
