Legislation or localization is something in Oracle that drives certain functionalities in Oracle that are specific to a country or a geographical region. Oracle currently has the following localizations and they are continuously updating their product to come up with more legislation:1. Australia

24. Italy (HR only)Q: I want to implement Oracle Apps for Canada. What should I  do about the legislation?As you can see that Oracle already has a legislation configured for Canada, all you need to do before you start your configuration is  to make sure that the Canada legislation patch has been applied to your EBS Application. The legislation configuration is done by patches provided by
Oracle  and the DBA’s are responsible for the patching activity. Once the patch has been  applied, the system will inherit the legislation behavior once legislation is  setup at the business group level. The following screen will show you where to  setup the legislation:
